1.1.1903). b. at Chitral, 1882, youngest son of Shah Muhammad Aman ul-Mulk II, Mehtar of Chitral and Yasin, Master of Ghizr, Ishkoman and Suzerain of Kafiristan, by his wife, a sister of the Khan of Asmar, in Afghanistan, educ. privately. Recognised by the British authorities and the Maharaja of Kashmir as successor to his father, 3rd March 1895. Installed at Chitral Fort, by British and Kashmiri forces after the conquest of Chitral, 1st May1895. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers. Attended the Coronation Durbars at Delhi in 1903 and 1911. Granted a personal salute of 11-guns together with the style of His Highness 11th December 1911 (made permanent and hereditary, 18th July 1919). Hon. Cdt. The Chitral Scouts 21/8/1903-1936, Hon. Col. (fourth) ca. 1917, a daughter of Nawab Muhammad Sharif Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Dir, CIE. m. (a) a consort from Kusham. m. (b) ca. 1912, a daughter of Khan Bahadur Ataliq Bahadur. m. Deported to Loralai 1946-1949. m. a daughter of 'Abdu'l Razak Pasha. He d. 1980, having had issue, two sons and one daughter, including:
a) Shahzada Samsam ul-Mulk. b. before 1st June 1937. m. Shahzadi Dur-i-Shahwar (d. 1996), daughter of Colonel H.H. Mehtar Haji Muhammad Muzaffar ul-Mulk, Mehtar of Chitral, by his second wife, a grand-daughter of Mehtar Ghulam Muhi ud-din Shah Khuswaqte, Pahlawan Bahadur, Mehtar of Yasin. 6) Shahzada Muhammad Ghazi ud-din Khan. b. at Chitral, 1904 (s/o the Bimboret consort), educ. Islamia Coll., Peshawar, and Aligarh Muslim Univ. (BA). Granted Nagar, Utzun, Ziarat and Pattai in jagir. Served in the 3rd Afghan War 1919, Sikatar to the Mehtar 1937. m. a daughter of Sardar Muhammad Yusuf Khan Muhammadzai, by his wife, Koko Jan, daughter of H.H. Amir Muhammad Yaqub Khan, Amir of Afghanistan. He had issue, two sons:

i) Shahzada Shuja ud-din. m. a daughter of Major-General H.H. Nawab Muhammad Shah Khusru Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Dir. He d. 1989, having had issue, one son. ii) Shahzada Ihsan ud-din. m. a daughter of Major Shahzada Shams ud-din, sometime Sikatar to Mehtar Saif ul-Mulk.
i) A daughter. m. a grandson of Major-General Nawab Muhammad Shah Khusru Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Dir - see Pakistan (Dir).
ii) Another daughter. m. Nawab Muhammad Shah Salim Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Dir, son of Major-General H.H. Nawab Muhammad Shah Khusru Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Dir. She had issue, two sons - see Pakistan (Dir).
7) Shahzada Shahab ud-din Khan. b. at Chitral, 1911 (s/o the Shushi consort). Mbr. Board of Administration 1950. He had issue, two sons:
a) Major Shahzada Shams ud-din. Sometime Sikatar to Mehtar Saif ul-Mulk. m. …Bibi (d. from heart failure, at Broze, 19th May 2004). He had issue, one son and five daughters: i) Shahzada Rizwn ud-din. Employed with a local NGO. He has issue, one son and two daughters.
b) Shahzada Jalal ud-din. Local government servant. m. Khonza Mas, younger daughter of Major Mehtarjao Muhammad 'Usman Khan, of Gahiret, sometime ADC, by his wife, Shahzadi Amna Sultan, sometime Provincial Minister for Women's Affairs, daughter of Colonel H.H. Mehtar Haji Muhammad Muzaffar ul-Mulk, Mehtar of Chitral. (i) Biljim Sera, daughter of Ataliq Sarfaraz Shah. m. (a) Ruqaya Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Shafi, from Kalkatak. m. Chitral District Cncl. 1983, MNA 1997-2004, Minister of State for Tourism, District Nazim of Chitral 2004. Capt. Pakistan National Football Team in 1960s. He had issue, three sons and two daughters:

ii) Shahzada Khalid Pervez. Dist. Head of Pakistan Muslim League 2004. m. a lady from the family of the foster brother of Mehtar Shuja ul-Mulk. He had issue, an only daughter:

i) Parveen Khonza. m. Shahzada Masud ul-Mulk, CEO Sarhad Rural Support Program, son of her paternal uncle, Major Shahzada Khushamad ul-Mulk. He had issue, three sons and one daughter - see below. ii) A daughter. m. Shahzada Zia ul-Mulk, eldest son of her paternal first cousin, Shahzada Samsam ul-Mulk, of Drosh. She had issue, two sons and two daughters - see above.
b) Shahzada Nizam ud-din (s/o the Kalkatak lady). Employed by US Agency for International Dvpt., retd. 1993. m. Carolan Nizamuddin, an Irish-Canadian lady. He had issue, two sons and one daughter: i) Shahzada Dawood Nizamuddin. Settled in Toronto, Canada, in 1994. Banker. ii) Shahzada Faisal Nizamuddin. m. Farahdiba, daughter of Zabiu'llah Nuristani, a tribal chief from Nuristan province, in Afghanistan.

c) Shahzada Habib ur-Rahman (s/o Amir ul-Mulk's daughter). m. a granddaughter of Mehtarjao Afrasiyab, of Koghozi. He had issue, two sons and five daughters, including: i) Shahzada Zia ur-Rahman Gormani.
ii) Shahzada Zahir ud-din Babur. m. a daughter of his paternal grand uncle, Colonel Shahzada Muhammad Muta ul-Mulk, sometime Governor of Shoghor. He had issue, two sons: (1) Shahzada Hamza Amir ud-din.

i) Gul Khonza (eldest daughter). m. Muhammad Salim Moghul, a businessman settled in Birmingham, UK. She had issue, one son and one daughter:
(1) Muhammad Haris Suleman Moghul. ii) The second daughter. m. Shahzada Aziz ul-Mulk, youngest son of her paternal grand uncle, Colonel Shahzada Muhammad Muta ul-Mulk, sometime Governor of Shoghor. She had issue, two sons and two daughters - see below.
d) Shahzada Saif ud-din (s/o the Kalkatak lady). m. a Chitrali lady. He had issue, one son and three daughters, including:

i) Zainab Khonza.
f) Shahzada Sareer ud-din (s/o Jami'ullah's daughter). m. a daughter of Sayyid Taufiq, of Sover. He had issue, two sons and three daughters, including: i) Shahzada Ihtisham ud-din.

He had issue, two sons and one daughter: i) Shahzada Fahim ud-din. ii) Shahzada Tafhi ud-din. a) Kaneez Fatima Khonza (d/o Amir ul-Mulk's daughter). m. Mehtarjao Saleem, of Danin, sometime DSP. b) Sumiya Khatun Khonza (d/o Sarfaraz Shah's daughter). m. 1979, Shahzada Sohrab Hayat (b. at Dammernisar Fort, 1943), sometime Govt. Contractor in Chitral, second son of Shahzada Amir Abe Hayat, 'Usman ul-Mulk, of Dammernisar. He has two sons and one daughter - see above. c) Surayah Khatun Khonza (d/o Jami'ullah's daughter). m. The Katur Dynasty

H.H. Mehtar Sir Muhammad Shuja ul-Mulk, Mehtar of Chitral, KCIE, had further issue, including: 9) Ghazi Shahzada Mujahid Burhan ud-din Khan, Fateh-i-Chilas [Chirveleko Shahzada]. b. at Chitral, 1913 (s/o the Kusham consort), educ. Islamia Coll., Peshawar, and RIMA, Dehra Dun. Cmsnd. Pilot Officer RIAF, served in WW2 in Malaya 1939-1943, captured, POW, joined INA 1944, serving as their "C-in-C Burma", arrested in May 1945 and charged with committing atrocities, including the flogging of deserters to death, sentenced to seven years imprisonment in 1946 but released after independence in 1947, secured the Chilas valley for Pakistan in 1948, C-in-C Chitral Body Guard 1949-1954, later served with UN High Cmsn. for Refugees, Mbr. Chitral DC 1980, nominated MNA for Chitral, Senator 1983, MD Pamir Trooters Agency, and a leader of the Pakistan People's Party. Presdt. Chitral Body Guard Union. He d. from a gun shot wound (possibly self inflicted) at Delamuth, Chitral, July 1995, having had issue, an only son: a) Shahzada Shuja ud-din. m. a daughter of Khan Bahadur Mehtarjao Dilaram Khan, sometime Wazir-i-'Azam, by his wife, Ayuni Khonza. He d. 1969, having had issue, three sons and one daughter: i) Shahzada Amir Hasanat ud-din. m. a daughter of Mehtarjao Hyder Zaman. He had issue, six sons and three daughters, including:
(1) Shahzada Subur ud-din.
(2) Shahzada Burhan ud-din.
(3) Shahzada Musadiq ud-din.

iii) Captain Muhammad Sharif ud-din, educ. University Public Sch. and Edward's Coll., Peshawer, and Pakistan Military Acad., Kakul. Capt. Pakistan Army, served at Kargil 1999, currently a wing offcr. Chitral Scouts, at Mastuj. m. Sakina Khonza (b. 6th April 1986), daughter of Shahzada Sohrab Hayat, by his wife, a daughter of Shahzada Amir ud-din, sometime Governor of Kalkatak. He has issue, one son:

She had issue, three sons - see above. 10) Colonel Shahzada Khuswakht ul-Mulk [Mastujiki Shahzada]. b. at Chitral, 16th July 1914 (s/o Ataliq Bahadur's daughter), educ. Prince of Wales Mil. Coll., and RIMA, Dehra Dun. Governor of Mastuj, Cmsd. 2nd Lieut. IA 15/7/1935, attached the Green Howards, transf. 4/19th Hyderabad Regt., prom. Capt. 10/8/1936, served in WW2 in Malaya 1939-1943, actg. Maj. 23/4/1943, temp. Maj. 23/7/1943, retd. as Col. m. at Chitral, 1916, … Bibi (b. 1912). a) Shahzada Siraj ul-Mulk. b. 10th March 1945. Former chief pilot at PIA. Owner and CEO of Hindukhush Heights Hotel & Travel Co., Presdt. Chitral Assoc. for Mountaineering & Trekking. m. at Peshawar, 27th April 1974, Ghazala (b. 31st May 1955), daughter of Sultan Muhammad Naim Khan, sometime Chief Engineer Tarbela Dam, by his wife, Hamida Begum. He had issue, two daughters: i) Mehnaz Khonza. b. 20th May 1975. m. at Islamabad, 6th January 2001 (div. 5th January 2005) Agha Raza Pooya, son of Agha Murtaza Pooya, sometime Proprietor of the "Muslim" newspaper, originally from Iran, by his wife, Shazdeh Begum.
ii) Zainab Khonza. b. 30th June 1978. m. at Islamabad, 27th December 1997, Shah Qubilai Alam (b. 22nd November 1972), Capt. of the Pakistan Polo Team, son of Lieutenant-General Shah Rafi Alam, SJ, late Pakistan Armoured Corps, by his wife, Tameez Begum, daughter of Brigadier Mirza Masud Ali Beg [Hesky], late Probyn's Horse. She has issue, one son and one daughter:

c) Shahzada Humayun Jalal. m. a daughter of Gushpur Muhammad Rasul Khan Khushwaqte, of Yasin, by his wife, a daughter of H.H. Mehtar Sir Muhammad Shuja ul-Mulk, Mehtar of Chitral, KCIE. He had issue, two sons and three daughters:
i) Shahzada Asghar Jalal.
ii) Shahzada Akbar Jalal.

1954 H.H. Mehtar Muhammad Saif ul-Mulk Nasir, Mehtar of Chitral. b. at Chitral House, Peshawar, 12th May 1950, elder son of H.H. Mehtar Saif ur-Rahman, Mehtar of Chitral, by his second wife, H.H. Razia Sultan Khonza, elder daughter of Major H.H. Mehtar Sir Muhammad Nasir ul-Mulk, Mehtar of Chitral, KCIE, educ. Aitchison Coll., Lahore. Succeeded on the death of his father, 14th October 1954. Reigned under the Regency of his uncle, Shahzada Asad ur-Rahman, until he came of age. Invested with full ruling powers, at Chitral Fort, May 1966. Chitral was absorbed into the Republic of Pakistan, 1st January 1971. Entered the Pakistan Foreign Service 1973, and served as First Sec. at Ankara 1974-1979, Dep. Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Peshawar and Islamabad 1979-1985, and Assist. Consul-Gen. in Hong Kong 1985-1989. Deprived of his rank, titles and honours by the Government of Pakistan, 1st January 1972. Patron Chitral Polo Assoc. since 1957, and Anjuman-e-Tariqe Khowar since 1960, Patron and Guardian of The Ayubia Union, etc. m. H.H. Ismat Khonza (b. 1956), daughter of Nawab Muhammad Said Khan, Nawab of Amb, by his wife, Ayesha Sultana Begum, younger daughter of Major H.H. Nasir ul-Mulk, Mehtar Sir Muhammad Ahmad, Mehtar of Chitral, KCIE, by his first wife, the daughter of the Mir Hakim of the Raza Khel tribe of Laspur. He had issue, two sons and two daughters:
